Street Food in Goa After-hours
Midnight munchies can be a serious problem and JumpCut Goa is here to solve it. Here’s a list of places around Mapusa and Panjim you can be sure to find food street food after midnight. The street food in Goa is quite varied. One can easily find a plate of Ras Omlet, Chicken Shawarmas, Tandoori Chicken or even Chicken Biriyani at these places. Each location houses a number of food carts or “Gaddos” as we call them in Konkani. They usually open in the evening and close between 1 AM to 4 AM.
In Mapusa we cover the Alankar Theater area and the Bastora Junction just off the Mapusa Highway. In Panjim we cover the Gaddos outside Don Bosco School and the dhabas outside Goa Medical College in Bambolim.
Be sure to try out Goa’s favourite street food, Ras Omelette if you haven’t already. The Ras Omelette is an Omelette with Chicken Xacuti Gravy which can be had with bread or roti. The Gaddo in Bastora is one of the few places they serve Ras Omelette with roti.
